Ernest Prakasa started off his entertainment career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. He ventured into film through acting, and then became a writer-director in 2015. After honing his skills in one of Indonesia’s top film company Starvision Plus, plus achieving 2 Piala Citra (Indonesia’s Oscars) and few blockbuster hits along the way, Ernest finally founded his own film company Imajinari in 2022 with Dipa Andika, his business partner since 2012. The newborn entity gain unprecedented success, one of which is the movie Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film (Falling In Love Like In Movies, 2023) which won 7 Piala Citra including best movie. Their mega-blockbuster Agak Laen (2024) was also a phenomenon, collecting 9,1 million cinema viewers, breaking the record as Indonesia’s best selling comedy to date.
