Marc Aldrich leads the Media, Entertainment & Sports Industry Business Unit within Amazon Web Services Industries Segment. In this role, he is the single threaded leader of the ME&S Industry and responsible for developing key business relationships with our customers and partners, as well as setting the strategic direction for the ME&S Industry for AWS. He leads a team of Industry technical and business specialist in support of the industry globally. Marc is in his 5th year with AWS in this role.
Prior to AWS, Marc led the Americas sales region for Cisco’s Global Service Provider Segment. In this role, Marc was responsible for Cisco’s service provider strategy and business relationships for Cable, Telco, and Media customers as well as related channel partnerships and go-to-market segments. In addition to his direct role, Marc held global responsibility for Cisco’s Service Provider video architecture, strategy, and global go-to-market. Marc has a strong reputation for customer-centricity and business transformation. During this time, he spearheaded new customer engagement models including platform and service co-creation while building agile development capabilities across Cisco’s field and development organization. His professional passions include talent design, early-in-career resource development, and building diverse highly performing teams.
Marc was a 22-year Cisco veteran who started the company’s Cable sales organization in 1997. During this time, Marc launched early customer trials with Cisco’s first DOCSIS CMTS cable access technology and adjacent product portfolio. He held every leadership role in the Global Service Provider Sales Organization. Prior to Cisco, Marc spent 8 years with MCI Telecommunications in large enterprise account sales and field marketing.
