Nikhil leads the development and launch of Prime Video India’s exciting and award-winning Original content across languages. Since joining Prime Video in 2022, Nikhil has led the creation of fan-favourite series and movies, including new seasons of established franchises like Paatal Lok, Bandish Bandits, and Suzhal – The Vortex, as well as building new franchises with scripted Originals like Dahaad, Call Me Bae, Dupahiya, Dhootha and Inspector Rishi. Nikhil has also doubled down on the slate of Prime Video India’s unscripted Originals with pop-culture defining hits like Follow Kar Lo Yaar, The Rana Daggubati Show. He has led Amazon MGM’s foray into Indian Original movies premiering first in theatres with the globally-acclaimed Superboys of Malegaon. This is in addition to creating a wide repertoire of Original movies that premiered on Prime Video including the award-winning The Mehta Boys.

In a career spanning over 20 years, Nikhil has established himself as an influential name in the media landscape of the country.  His deep interest in creating rooted and authentic stories has seen him leading content development for Disney+ Hotstar in India and Warner Brothers Discovery in Asia-Pacific.
