Sander Hamersma is the Managing Director and Head of Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) for Asia Pacific at Mizuho Financial Group, based in Hong Kong. With over 20 years of investment banking experience in the region, he brings a wealth of expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial structuring. Prior to joining Mizuho, Sander held senior roles at Calibration Partners, Barclays Capital, and ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where he honed his skills in navigating complex transactions across the TMT sectors. He is a graduate of VU University Amsterdam, holding a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics earned between 1988 and 1995. 

 

Known for his strategic insights and robust industry knowledge, Sander plays a pivotal role in driving Mizuho’s TMT franchise, fostering key client relationships, and spearheading high-impact deals throughout the Asia Pacific region.
