Angela Tanoesoedibjo started her career in the government sector in October 2019 as the Vice Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia. At the time of her appointment, she was the youngest Vice Minister in the Indonesian Cabinet at 32 years old. Prior to her involvement in government, Angela built an extensive career across the financial, retail, media, and digital industries for over eleven years.

She founded a publishing company in 2008, where she served as Editor-in-Chief. In 2013, she expanded into the retail business, managing international multi-brand portfolios while also co-managing Indonesia’s largest pay-TV business. In 2014, she began her career in free-to-air television as Managing Director of Global TV, where she successfully rebranded the station and elevated it into one of the top five terrestrial TV stations in Indonesia. Her strong track record led to her appointment as Managing Director of RCTI, the largest terrestrial TV station in Indonesia, where she spearheaded its digital transformation and launched an entertainment super app in 2019.

In 2023, Angela was appointed as Chef de Mission for Indonesia at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China. Under her leadership, Indonesia secured a Top 6 position, surpassing its target, and achieved remarkable milestones, including 13 records: eight Asian Para Games records, three Asian records, and two world records.

As Vice Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, she oversaw key national initiatives, including economic recovery programs for the tourism and creative economy sectors, particularly in hospitality, film, culinary, crafts, and fashion.

After completing her tenure in government, Angela was appointed CEO of iNews Media Group in December 2024. Under her leadership, the group has strengthened its position as a comprehensive and integrated media platform, producing content across news, sports, business, and lifestyle.

She currently also serves as Co-CEO of MNC Group, President Commissioner of MNC Kapital, Chairperson of MNC Peduli, and President Director of MNC Digital Entertainment, further reinforcing her leadership across the MNC Group ecosystem.
