Cecilia Shen is Co-Founder and CEO of Utopai Studios, where she is leading the

company toward a new era of entertainment. Under her leadership, Utopai Studios is

building proprietary cinematic AI for narrative filmmaking and deploying it in real film and

television workflows, with a long-term vision of making next-generation entertainment

more adaptive, globally scalable, and increasingly personalized to audiences.

Shen is guiding Utopai Studios beyond the limits of both a traditional studio and a

standalone AI company. Her ambition is to help bring a future to reality in which stories

are not only produced more efficiently, but can also become more dynamic,

participatory, and hyper-personalized. Central to that vision is PAI, Utopai Studios’

proprietary cinematic storytelling AI, which helps transform screenplays, concepts, and

story worlds into consistent characters, cinematic sequences, and production-ready

workflows. Through PAI and Utopai Studios’ own proprietary IP, Shen is positioning

Utopai Studios to help define how the next generation of media is created and

experienced.

Before co-founding Utopai Studios, Shen was the youngest engineer at X, Google’s

moonshot factory, where she worked on 0-to-1 AI and robotics projects. Earlier, at age

20, she was an AI Data Scientist at Royal Bank of Canada. Shen is a Silicon Valley 40

Under 40 honoree, a Forbes 30 Under 30 (2026) honoree, and a multiple-time robotics

world finalist. She brings together technical depth, entrepreneurial ambition, and

creative instinct in leading Utopai Studios at the intersection of AI and media.
