Dabin Chung

Founder & CEO,
Bamboo Network

Dabin Chung is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bamboo Network, one of Korea's leading micro-drama studios and a pioneer in scalable, mobile-first vertical storytelling for global audiences. Since founding the company in 2018, Chung has built Bamboo Network into a production-led powerhouse that has redefined how Korean creative IP travels across short-form platforms, with more than 90% of its productions reaching Top 10 rankings on the platforms where they release, an industry-defying hit rate in a category often defined by volume over performance.

Under Chung's leadership, Bamboo Network has established itself as the only Korean studio to be officially invited into global industry markets as a production company rather than a platform, and has built a strategic production partnership with DramaBox alongside ongoing collaborations with WeTV, Youku, Viu, U-NEXT, FOD, ABEMA TV, Rakuten Viki, iQIYI, ReelShort, Vigloo and others. The studio's notable titles include The Bedmate Game Share House, the first-ever Korean variety-scripted vertical micro-drama and the first Korean original to hit DramaBox's global chart at #1, drawing 15.1 million views in Korea alone; Eluvator, the first-ever Korean variety-unscripted vertical show, set entirely in an elevator; and No Dating at Boarding School, a BL vertical micro-drama that topped Shortcha's rankings for several months. Cumulative views on Vigloo alone now exceed 51.9 million, reflecting the studio's growing reach across Southeast Asia, Japan, and the United States. Bamboo Network is also building an AI-assisted production pipeline, combining trend analysis, generative scripting, automated workflows, and webtoon IP adaptation through AI animation, designed to scale Korean creative output without sacrificing the editorial discipline that has driven the studio's hit ratio.

Bamboo Network was honored at the New Media Content Awards 2025 with a Special Prize in the short-form content business category — the only production-driven studio recognized alongside major Korean OTT platforms. Chung brings more than ten years of experience leading creative production across drama, entertainment, branded content, and advertising, with a parallel track record in investor relations, strategic partnerships, and organizational scaling that has carried Bamboo Network from seed funding through its 2026 Series B round, backed by BNK, ATU Partners, Maven Growth Partners, and CommSeed. The vision: to build Asia's leading global IP entertainment company for the mobile-first era.
