Diego Dabrio is a senior executive leading strategies to protect media rights through enforcement and policy. He currently serves as Senior Content Protection Expert at UEFA, where he has led the development and execution of UEFA’s anti-piracy strategy since 2019. In this role, he oversees strategic enforcement efforts and policy engagement across international markets, working closely with rightsholders, media partners, as well as law enforcement and other key stakeholders to address large-scale piracy affecting live sports and audiovisual content.

Prior to joining UEFA, he was Head of Global Content Protection at LALIGA, where he contributed to strengthening the league’s enforcement capabilities through coordinated global anti-piracy initiatives.

Over the course of his professional career, he has worked across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.

A qualified lawyer with an MBA and a Master’s degree in International Law, Diego is an independent expert at the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and lectures at postgraduate level. His work has contributed to more coordinated and effective approaches to combating digital piracy, alongside active involvement in industry and policy discussions
