Minyoung Kim oversees all Netflix’s local language film, scripted, and unscripted series across Asia Pacific (excluding India), partnering with creators around the region. Kim leads teams in 8 offices responsible for hit series and films including Squid Game, Alice in Borderland, Boy Swallows Universe and Hunger.

Joining Netflix in 2016 as one of the first content executives based in APAC, Kim led Netflix’s content expansion in Korea, growing its global popularity so that 80% of all Netflix members worldwide now watch K-Content. She also began overseeing Japan in 2021, with Japanese language content now in the top three most-viewed non-English content on Netflix. She also oversees the development of best-in-class local content in Australia, Southeast Asia, and Chinese Language content.

Prior to Netflix, Kim led Twitter’s Content Partnerships across APAC. She started her career at a TV production company, and built her expertise in international business while working at NBC Universal (France) and CJ E&M (Korea).
