Sharad Devarajan is a serial entrepreneur, creator, and academic dedicated to reshaping the global creative landscape. He is currently the Co-Founder of FaiBLE Media Inc., a Silicon Valley startup utilizing artificial intelligence to uncover the fundamental structures of narrative resonance through a research initiative described as "The AlphaFold of Storytelling." A long-standing Professor at Columbia Business School, Devarajan has spent over 15 years teaching at the intersection of AI, media, and entrepreneurship, focusing on how emerging technologies can enable dynamic story worlds where audiences explore unique narrative paths while preserving canonical integrity.


A pioneer in cultural "trans-creation," Devarajan’s work is focused on transforming the perception of India from a media outsourcer to a primary creative source. In 2004, he collaborated with Marvel to reinvent an iconic hero as Spider-Man: India, a character that recently became a global breakout feature in the blockbuster film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. In the Indian entertainment sector, he is the Co-Creator and Showrunner of the record-breaking animated series The Legend of Hanuman and has worked closely with filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli to architect the transmedia strategy for the Baahubali franchise.


Devarajan’s portfolio includes high-profile collaborations with legends such as Stan Lee and Sir Richard Branson, alongside original content development with numerous Hollywood talents. He currently serves as the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Toonsutra, a prominent webtoon platform backed by the Google AI Futures Fund and Sony Innovation Fund. An active member of the TED community and the Rolling Stone Culture Council, his work in bridging technology and storytelling continues to be featured by major global media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and CNN.
