Stephan Bugaj is SVP of GenAI Content & Technology at JioStar Group, India’s largest media company, leading AI-powered content creation from strategy to production. Previously Chief Creative Officer at Genvid, he led projects including the Emmy Award–winning SILENT HILL: Ascension; DC Heroes United; Rival Peak (10M+ views); The Seeker, the first commercial GenAI film; and Genvid’s AI filmmaking tools. Prior, he held creative and creative-tech leadership roles at DJ2 Entertainment (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Sonic The Hedgehog), Hanson Robotics (Sophia the Android), and Telltale Games. Stephan also spent 12 years at Pixar, contributing to Oscar-winning films including The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, and Brave, and as a screenwriter in development. He holds four animation pipeline/workflow patents, and co-authored the W3C Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language spec while a researcher at Bell Labs.
