Minyoung Kim oversees all local language films and scripted and unscripted series for Asia Pacific (excluding India), working with creators across the region. Min leads the teams responsible for hit APAC series and films including Squid Game from Korea, Girl From Nowhere from Thailand, and The Naked Director from Japan.
Previously, Kim led Netflix’s content expansion in Korea. Under her leadership, Netflix brought best-in-class Korean series to global audiences including Kingdom, Love Alarm, Extracurricular, The School Nurse Files, Crash landing on you, Itaewon Class and Sweet Home, and films like Time to Hunt, The Call and Space Sweepers. She joined Netflix in 2016 as one of the first content executives based in Asia. She has built and managed Netflix’s growing slate of Korean original series, in addition to helping lead the creation of our Korean office.
Prior to Netflix, she led Twitter’s Content Partnerships across APAC. She started her career at an independent TV production company, and built her expertise in international business while working at NBC Universal (France) and CJ E&M (Korea).
