René Rechtman is co-founder and CEO of Moonbug Entertainment, an award-winning global entertainment company behind some of the most popular kids titles in the world including CoComelon and Blippi. Rechtman currently also serves on the board of Candle Media, which acquired Moonbug Entertainment in December 2021.

Rechtman is a proven industry leader and draws on 20 years of experience in media, entertainment, and technology. Prior to Moonbug, he was head of non-linear media networks at The Walt Disney Company. He joined Disney through its acquisition of Maker Studios in 2014, where he was an investor and served as President. Rechtman is also an active angel investor in disruptive media, game, and technology businesses and holds several board positions.
