Abhijit is a Director on the Board and the Chief Commercial Officer at PT. XL Axiata in Indonesia. Abhijit oversees a portfolio of functions and businesses at XL and he holds P&L responsibilities for the ‘Home’ and ‘Enterprise’ Businesses. In addition, Abhijit also oversees the Corporate Strategy and M&A/ Partnerships functions.

Prior to joining XL, Abhijit was a Partner with Strategy&s (Formerly Booz & Company) Telecommunications (CMT) practice in the Middle East and led the CMT business for the firm in Southeast Asia. In his time in consulting over 16 years, Abhijit led engagements in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, India, Europe, and U.K. for numerous clients in the Telecommunications and Satellite sectors; and advised clients on senior agenda topics including corporate strategy, M&A, portfolio optimization, licence auction, greenfield telecom operations launch, operating model transformation and market entry strategies.
