Adam Herr is the Senior Vice President of Distribution for Asia Pacific at Sony Pictures Entertainment, a position he has held since 2022. Adam has a long and rich history with Sony, serving diverse markets and leading teams responsible for sales, marketing, and operations. Adam leads all film and television licensing across all media post the theatrical release in Southeast Asia, India, Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and New Zealand. He is responsible for guiding the strategic direction and operational execution of Sony’s content distribution across the diverse markets of the greater Asia Pacific region through all broadcast, linear, and digital distribution channels. Adam has worked on Sony’s business in Asia since 2021, previously also leading the theatrical distribution in Southeast Asia and India.
Before moving to Asia, he served in several roles of progressive scope covering Latin America and Canada while based in Miami, including as Vice President of Digital Distribution and Networks. There he led the evolution of distribution strategies in the rapidly evolving and diverse media markets across the region, focused on both Sony’s content licensing and also Sony’s owned and operated television channels in LATAM. Adam originally joined Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2013 as Manager of International Digital Strategy, based in Los Angeles, where he was pivotal in transforming digital distribution approaches to adapt to global market trends and consumer preferences, with a particular focus on Asia and Latin America.
Prior to joining Sony, Adam worked as Manager of Business Development for the New York Yankees, where he focused on strategic initiatives, including the new development of the new Yankee Stadium project, which opened in 2009, and efforts to enhance fan engagement and identify new streams of revenue for the Yankees.
