Amrita Pandey, the CEO of Junglee Pictures (feature film entertainment), is an experienced movie industry professional and M&E leader. Under her leadership since July 2019, the company has released critically acclaimed movies such as Badhaai Do, Doctor G, and the recently released Ulajh. The studio has a prolific slate of movies in production and development.

In her career spanning over two decades, Amrita has taken on roles across every key discipline within this vast industry; from production and marketing to distribution and syndication. In her producing role as head of the studio, she has supervised the P&L for the then-largest Indian movie studio (UTV, later Disney) and was an integral part of creative and greenlighting decisions. She has worked on almost 200 movies in various languages, including iconic movies like Dangal, Badhaai Do, Rang De Basanti, Barfi, PK, Jodhaa Akbar, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Kaminey, and many more, most of which have transcended box office records and set new industry benchmarks.

Amrita also led the content and channel distribution role for the South-East Asian and Indian regions at Walt Disney, which included the distribution of all movies/television content across 10 key countries. This business in India grew exponentially under Amrita’s direction, with many firsts in streaming service agreements and international distribution, resulting in greater profitability.
